Driving In Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein drives on the right and you can use the photo licence of any country to drive here, providing it’s written in Roman alphabet. Drivers from other countries need their own licence plus an international driving permit. Speed limits range from 80kmh on roads outside Vaduz to 50kmh or lower in town.
Lichtenstein is the sixth smallest country in the world and is really just the town of Vaduz, surrounded by a few villages in spectacular hilly countryside. The Swiss Autobahn 13/E43 follows the Rhine along the border of the country and minor roads cross into Liechtenstein at each exit. Roads, even small mountain routes are generally in excellent condition, though may be subject to closures due to snow in winter.Driving standards are excellent. Vaduz has one quiet main road through it which heads North East to the Austria border. The road from Zurich is a good motorway with acceptable traffic levels.

Liechtenstein Car Rental-
Avis seem to be the only big rental company with an office in Vaduz . Zurich is close by and given that their is no airport in Lichtenstein its likely you would fly there. All the big companies are represented at Zurich airport.

Liechtenstein Self Drive Rules
Cars will be allowed to be driven in all mainland European countries. There may be some restrictions on taking cars to Eastern Europe. One way rentals should be allowed for an additional cost.
