Kuwait Driving Advice and Car Hire Info
Driving In Kuwait
Roads are modern and in good condition but driving standards are poor. Speeding and aggressive behaviour is widespread and traffic rules are flouted. Drivers will approach behind you at high speed and flash their lights to make you move over. Accidents are a regular occurrence due to driving style and the high density of cars on Kuwaits roads. If you are in an accident it is compulsory to wait at the scene till police arrive. Alcohol is prohibited in Kuwait so if you are found to be driving under the influence it will be viewed as a serious offence which could result in a jail sentence.
